You’ve come to the right place. My name is Dr. Heather Iverson and I am a Naturopathic Doctor and cosmetic injector practicing and accepting new patients across Comox Valley in Courtenay, Campbell River, Comox, and Cumberland.
My journey into Naturopathic Medicine started with a deep belief in the power of prevention and a desire to really connect with and support my patients. Over time, my practice has naturally evolved to include cosmetic injection services—something I hadn’t planned on, but absolutely love. I’ve been injecting and helping my patients feel confident in their own skin since 2017 and focus my practice on providing undetectable results that consider each individual’s unique facial anatomy.
When you choose me as your cosmetic injector in Courtenay, you’re choosing a safe, judgement-free space where you can feel confident that you’re getting sound, professional advice—I am not afraid to say no to providing a treatment if I do not believe it’s in your best interest!

New to botox and filler?
If you’re new to cosmetic injections, you likely have a lot of questions. Whether you’re unsure about what treatment is right for you, what the procedure will be like, or how to prepare, I’m here to walk through it all. My goal as your Courtenay cosmetic injector is to ensure you have all the information you need to feel comfortable and make informed decisions about your botox, filler or Sculptra® injections in Courtenay.
“I’m new to cosmetic injections, what should I book in for?”
There are countless cosmetic injection treatments available to you when choosing me as your cosmetic injector in Courtenay, BC. As someone new to cosmetic injections, I do not expect you to know exactly what you want or “need” before booking in for your first visit. It is my job as your Courtenay cosmetic injector to guide you and provide you with the information you need to choose the right cosmetic injection treatment for you.
When it comes to cosmetic injections, my first priority is understanding your facial anatomy, concerns, and aesthetic goals. Together, we’ll discuss your options, any potential implications, and I’ll create a customized treatment plan that fits your unique needs and budget.
Here’s a quick overview of the cosmetic injections I offer in Courtenay, BC:
Neuromodulators (Botox®, Dysport®, Nuceiva®)
Neuromodulators work by temporarily blocking nerve signals to targeted facial muscles, preventing them from contracting. This relaxes fine lines and wrinkles, softens expressions, and helps prevent deeper lines from forming over time. Results typically last between three to six months, depending on the area treated.
Common treatment areas:
- Forehead lines (horizontal lines from raising eyebrows)
- Frown lines (the “11s” between the brows)
- Crow’s feet (lines around the outer corners of the eyes)
- Bunny lines (small wrinkles on the nose)
- Gummy smile correction (reduces excessive gum show)
- Lip flip (enhances the upper lip without filler)
- Jawline slimming/TMJ relief (relaxes overactive jaw muscles)
- Neck bands (platysmal bands) (smooths and lifts the neck area)

Dermal Fillers (Revanesse®)
If you’re looking to restore lost volume, enhance facial contours, or smooth deeper wrinkles, hyaluronic acid-based fillers like Revanesse® offer a natural-looking solution. These fillers hydrate and plump the skin, filling in areas where collagen and fat have diminished over time. Results last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the area treated and how your body metabolizes the product.
Common treatment areas:
- Cheeks (enhances lift and volume)
- Lips (adds fullness and definition)
- Nasolabial folds (softens smile lines)
- Marionette lines (smooths lines from the mouth to the chin)
- Jawline contouring (defines the lower face)
- Chin augmentation (enhances profile and balance)
- Tear troughs (reduces under-eye hollows and dark circles)
- Temples (Open eyes and re-shape face)

Biostimulators (Sculptra®)
Unlike traditional fillers, Sculptra® works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production, gradually restoring lost volume and improving skin texture over time. The results develop progressively over a few months and can last up to five years, making it ideal for those seeking a subtle, long-lasting, low-maintenance solution.
Common treatment areas:
- Cheeks (improves facial volume and contour)
- Temples (fills hollowing for a youthful look)
- Jawline (enhances definition and structure)
- Smile lines (softens nasolabial folds)
- Overall skin tightening and rejuvenation (improves texture and firmness)

What should I look for in a cosmetic injector in Courtenay, BC?
When choosing the right cosmetic injector for you in Courtenay, Comox Valley or the surrounding areas, take the time to do your research. You want to find a qualified injector who truly aligns with your aesthetic goals and values facial balance. If achieving natural-looking results is your goal, it is important to find a cosmetic injector who considers your facial anatomy—treating individual features without doing this can lead to some extremely unnatural looking results and filler migration issues down the road.

While every cosmetic treatment is a bit different depending on your unique needs, here’s what you can generally expect during your cosmetic injection treatment with me:
Every treatment with me begins with a consultation to discuss what results you’d like to achieve, any concerns you might have, and a bit about your medical history. This helps me customize your cosmetic injection treatments to your unique goals. If you’d prefer to book a consultation separately, that’s totally fine too. There’s a $100 consultation fee, which can be applied to the cost of your treatment if you decide to move ahead. Once we’ve decided on the best treatment plan for you, I’ll give you an estimate of how much product will be needed and the approximate cost of your treatment.
Before any actual injecting can happen I’ll clean the treatment area to ensure everything is sterile. If you’re concerned about discomfort or if we’re treating a more sensitive area, I’ll apply a numbing cream at this time. Next, I’ll map out your injection points using a skin-safe pencil crayon (and probably ask you to make some funny faces in the process).
Then comes the injection itself, which is usually the quickest part of the whole appointment! If you do have any anxiety surrounding needles, please let me know in advance and there are ways I can help.
Afterward, it’s normal to have some mild swelling or redness, but it should fade quickly. I’ll provide you with aftercare instructions (and an ice pack if needed!) before you leave. We may also schedule a follow-up appointment at this time to check in on your results and make any adjustments if needed. Please note, I typically recommend waiting at least 14 days after your initial injections to let the product settle properly.
