Hey there, welcome! I’m Dr. Heather Iverson, a Naturopathic Doctor and cosmetic injector accepting new patients in Langley, Nanaimo and Parksville, BC. I split my time between Vancouver Island (Parksville and Nanaimo specifically) and Langley, BC. Sculptra®: An injectable cosmetic filler made from poly-L-lactic acid that gradually stimulates collagen production to reduce wrinkles and increase facial volume. The results can last up to five years, and it is commonly used to treat deep facial wrinkles, folds, and areas of volume loss.

What should I expect at my cosmetic injection treatment in Langley, BC?
When booking your cosmetic injections with me in Langley, BC, your treatment will be at Self Love located at 20419 Douglas Cres, Langley. I am unable to accept walk-ins, so all treatments should be booked well in advance. When you book your treatment online, you’ll be prompted to complete an intake form. When you arrive for your appointment at Self Love Beauty Lounge in Langley, feel free to take a seat and I’ll be out to greet you as soon as I’m finished with my previous patent.
While all cosmetic injection procedures are a little different from one another, depending on the treatment and products used, generally, a treatment with me will go something like this:
First, we’ll sit down for a chat about what you’re hoping to achieve, any concerns you might have, and your medical history. This helps me understand exactly what you’re looking for and plan the best approach for you. All treatments with me include a consultation at the beginning of your treatment. If you’re looking to book a consultation separately, please note that there is a $100 charge, which can be applied to your treatment should you feel comfortable moving ahead.
Once we’ve determined a treatment plan you’re comfortable with and I provide you an estimate of how much product will be necessary, I’ll start by cleaning the area we’ll be treating. If discomfort is a concern of yours or we are treating a more sensitive area, I’ll apply a numbing cream to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible.
Next, I’ll mark the injection points on your skin (typically for botox only) to determine how the units will be spread. Now, it is time for the actual injections, which is actually quite quick after all the prep and chatting.
Afterward, it’s normal to have a bit of swelling or redness, but it should go away quickly. I’ll provide you with your aftercare instructions, which are also included in your booking email. Before you leave, we may schedule a follow-up visit to check on your progress and make any tweaks if needed (please note, you must wait a minimum of 14 days before follow-up injections to botox so the product can properly settle). My goal is to make sure you leave feeling confident in your results.
